It can be seen that, In the year of 1980s the USA had used 42% of the oil as the main source of energy. In addition to this, USA used 26% of the total energy from the natural gas. Moreover, the amount of energy that USA had consumed from the three sources: coal, hydroelectric power and nuclear power was 22%, 5% and 5% of the total energy respectively.
Moving ahead, In the year of 1990s the amount of energy consumed from oil by USA was 33% of the total energy and 25% energy had been consumed from the natural gas. While, the remaining amount of energy had been obtained from the coal and nuclear which was 10% and 15% of the total energy respectively.
Overall it is evident that, during both years of 1980s and 1990s the highest amount of energy had been consumed from the oil and lowest amount was consumed from the nuclear power source of energy
