The underground railway systems in six cities
The table gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities, namely London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto, and Los Angeles.
Overall, there are differences in numbers of opening dates, route kilometers, and passengers per year (in millions) between the six cities. Specifically, route kilometers tend to decrease and passengers per year (in millions) increase and then decrease in cities year by year, the railway system in Washington DC opened in 1976, it traveled 176 route kilometers and passengers were 144 until 1981 when the Kyoto railway opened, it traveled 11 route kilometers and passengers were 45. Interestingly, the Paris train system opened more than a century after London, but they had more passengers than 1191 (Paris) and 775 (London). Besides, the route kilometers of Paris were 199 and 394 less than London, respectively. The smallest numbers shown in the table are in Kyoto city which are 11 (route kilometers) and 45 (passengers per year).
