Wheat Exports from 1985 to 1990 (in million tonnes)
The amount of wheat exported from three different regions over the five-year period from 1985 to 1990 is depicted in the line chart. It has been observed that the wheat sold abroad by European Community experienced an increase while that of Australia witnessed a decrease. Interestingly, exports Canadian market fluctuated during the period shown.
In 1985, Australia traded 15 millions of tonnes of wheat and the following year the number rose by one million tonnes to 16 million. After falling moderately by 4 million for the next three years, the wheat exports stabilized at about 12 million tonnes in 1990.
Conversely, over the same period, exports Australian market started at around 17 million in 1985 and that of declined by three million tonnes to 14 million by 1986. However, after that, the figure recovered strongly until 1990 and reached approximately 21 million tonnes.
A number of Canadian exports varied greatly. There was a fluctuation in wheat exports by just under 20 million tonnes between 1985 and 1990.
