The graph below shows the types of transport used by tourists who visited New Zealand from five countries in 2004. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart illustrates four categories of transports that are used by visitors from five countries in New Zealand.
Overall, car accounted for the highest proportion of carriers, however, Japanese prefer airplane to other types of vehicles.
At the fleeting glance, 60% of British people and 45% to around 50% of German, Korean and Australian used car for travelling, whilst that percentage of Japanese was only a quarter. By contrast, the figure for Japanese who chose to go by plane made up 55% which was five times higher than that of Australian. Air transport used by the British, German and Korean were 35%, over 20% and 30%, respectively.
According to the graph, over half of Japanese population used coach for traveling in NewZealand which was similar to that of air. However, this figure only accounted for nearly 10% in Australia. The proportions of car users doubled in both Britain and Germany, whereas that of Korea was four times higher. As for ferry, Germany ranked the highest place with almost 50%, followed by Britain with approximately 45%. Meanwhile, the percentages of other nations only ranged from 10% to 15%.
