Because of your job, you have to move to a new city. Write a letter to someone you know who lives there. In your letter
ask them to help you find somewhere to live
tell them the kind of accommodation you want to find
tell them which area of the city you want to live in
Dear Megan,
It has been a while since we met on that holiday in Puerto Rico; I hope you are doing well. My things are going well and soon, and they will be even better as being promoted, I am moving to Miami. So mainly this is the reason why I am writing to you; since you live there, I was hoping you could help me with accommodation.
Even though I have spent a weekend in Miami once, it was a long time ago, so I have no idea where to stay. Could you help me find somewhere for a living? Maybe you could give me links to websites or perhaps you know someone who has a flat for rent?
Yes, I would like to stay in a flat with one bedroom, a big bathroom and a kitchen. I think a studio would be perfect for me. Also, it should be on the ground floor because recently, I have injured my ankle, so taking stairs every day would not be a good idea.
Besides that, it would be great if the flat was not far from the ocean. With my asthma, fresh air is essential for my lungs, so I would need to have a chance to breeze it every day.
I am sorry, but I cannot write any longer because I am meeting my boss in 5 minutes, so I have to prepare some papers. Please let me know if you find something on my request.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Olga.
