The line diagram illustrates the making procedure of frozen fish pies comprehensively. In general, the manufacturing flow is split into three primary stages: potatoes cleansing, fresh salmon treatment, and the unification of two previous stages.
In the first stage, potatoes - as the additional ingredient of the pie, are cleaned with a specific liquid before being passed to a peeling machine. This process seems crucial because not all parts of the fruit is needed; only the flesh is used. Next, the other machine awaits to slice the edible parts into rectangular pieces. Prior to transporting to a storage place, the potatoes have to pass through a boiling process. However, because of its hot temperature, the potatoes are required to be cooled down a while before entering to the packaging stage.
At the same time, fresh salmon is also manufactured. The fish will thoroughly be lubricated by lemon juice and salt afterward to enrich the flavour. Then, the salted salmon are put into a steam oven before workers remove the skins and bones. Concerning the quality, an inspector is placed to assess if the fish is congruent with the standard. Lastly, it is time to seasoning the good quality salmon with peas and sauce.
After all basic ingredients are prepared, the last stage is to mix them up. The stored potatoes are carefully put in a big bowl filled with the salmon, allowing a mixture process to occur smoothly. As a result, fish pies are produced and ready to be transported to a freezer before being dispatched to stores.
