Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to apply for part-time position at your museum located near broad way in New York city. I came across this advertisement in newspaper that you are looking for to do unpaid work as I studied paleontology was excited about this opportunity.
There are several reasons why I want to do voluntary work. First, I want people in our community to learn and take interest in education. Now a days, people spend most of their time in front of idiot box aka television. Second, I do not have any past experience of professional world as I am recent graduate. Having voluntary experience, it will be great for my resume.
As I have graduated with degree in paleontology, I would be most suitable person for this job. Being avid reader, I have read most of the books and done extensive research on various topics which will help me in this job. Moreover, I am people’s person and can communicate with people on various topics.
I am available in evening from Monday to Friday from 5pm to 8pm and in morning on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Ross Geller
