On a recent holiday, you lost a valuable item. Fortunately you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter
describe the item you lost
explain how you lost it
tell the insurance company what you would like them to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing with regards to a travel insurance claim that I need to make for my laptop which I lost during my vacation to Mumbai.
The laptop is a lenovo YP14 model which is black in color and can be uniquely identified by the neon colored lights emitted from the sides of the keyboard. It has an Intel version 5 processor which one can identify by the stamped sticker placed on top of the flat screen. In addition to this, it is covered in a red casing of styrofoam.
When I left from Mumbai, I had placed my laptop within my cabin bag for safety purposes. However, due to the flight being overcrowded I was forced to check it in along with my luggage. Upon arrival at Mumbai airport, I was unable to find it among the cavalcade of luggage on the conveyor belts. I have reported this incident to the airport staff, but they have not responded to the complaint since three weeks. The complain number is 35566778.
I believe I am eligible to claim the funds for the laptop as it is stated in your travel insurance policy for lost items. I would appreciate it if you could consider my case for a full claim, equivalent to the cost of the laptop which is rupees 56000. On concluding a decision, please transfer the same into account number 99988334. I look forward to your prompt response.
Yours faithfully,
Xyz.
