Technology and relationships
Nowadays people spend a lot more time watching the television or on the internet than they do around other people which has put a strain on relationships. This essay would discuss the effects of technology on relationships.
First of all, most parents spend their leisure time on social media platforms so much so that most children have the notion that smart phones are more important than them. For example,in recent times a lot of parents spend a substantial amount of the time that ought to be used to bond with their kids on social media this makes such children reclusive and begin to have trust issues as they have neither the love not attention of their parents.
Secondly, even though watching television has its own merit, too much time shouldn't be spent watching the television as this might affect relationships with close relative, neighbours and friends. children should be encouraged to spend more time with their peers than they do watching the television in order to develop adequate social skills. for instance children that spend too much time on the television tend to live in their own world. They are often uninterested in interacting with other people. Such children might in the long run turn to a life of crime as a result of their deficient social skills.
In conclusion, even though technology has its various advantages it shouldn't be allowed be allowed to interfere with our social relationships. technology should be used in moderation in order to make our society a better and more beautiful place.
