Write a letter to a company asking for a refund for something you bought from them online. In your letter include:

 What you bought

 What the problem is

 Why you want a refund

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a frequent customer and hold membership of your online store. I am writing to request you to refund the amount for my recent purchase from your website.

Allow me to elaborate; I purchased black color Dell laptop model number E4811 on 10th January for gift it to my friend on his 18th birthday. Unfortunately, I came to know that he recently bought a brand new laptop. Therefore, I believe this item would not be a suitable gift for him. Moreover, I cannot hold/pick this for myself because I already have Mac notebook and it is not useful for me either.

Furthermore, as mentioned on your company’s website terms and conditions and return policy, customers may return the item within 30 days of the purchase in case item is not opened yet and product is not damaged. As I am eligible for this return policy, I would like to return the item by mail. After the confirmation of the successful return, I hope your company will initiate a full refund at the earliest.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yours faithfully,

Deepak Sharma
