Write a letter to an English-speaking friend. In your letter
– explain why you changed jobs
– describe your new job
– tell him/her your other news
Dear Jon,
Hope you are doing well. I am writing in reference to inform that I have recently changed jobs. Let me explain in detail.
As you are aware the last time we spoke I was working with a satellite service provider in India and handling presales activities for the domestic market. Although the role was challenging however it provided limited global exposure which was the major reason for switching to a new job. Additionally, I wanted to work for a global satellite operator which would make my profile stronger for futuristic opportunities. The new job is based in Dubai and my primary role is to provide techno-commercial support to the global sales team. Furthermore, the interesting part is that the job would require a bit of travel to customer locations with the Middle East and Europe.
Lastly, another great news I wanted to share with you is that I would be coming to Singapore for a week's training as the company is headquartered in Singapore, therefore, it will be a great opportunity to meet you after such a long time. I am sure you will plan something exciting when I am there.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Best wishes
Saud
