Write a letter to a friend to ask for his/her help to collect money for a charity organization. The letter needs to cover the following details:
-Why do you want to collect money for the charity organization (the church has a campaign to give 5000 handbooks to poor children in district 7)
-Ask for your friend to help ( can you help?)
-Explain in detail how your friend can help
Dear Tom,
I was wondering if you'd want to give some money for the charity campaign of the church at the beginning of next month.
you know, our local church has decided to give 5000 handbooks to poor children in district 5. I want to support the church on this campaign by just donating 2 million Vietnam dongs so the organizers can use to order books with the same cover. However, I can only give 1 million dongs at the moment and I need 1 million more.
so, it'd be really nice if you could help me with this amount of money that I'm in short. I'll make sure that the church acknowledges your contribution. And don't worry! Any kind of help is meaningful to both the organizer and the poor children.
The church will accept donation until the end of this month so there's plenty of time. you could transfer the money directly to my bank account or give me when I'm back from work in the evening. It's no rush so you could do it anytime that is convenient for you.
All the best,
Truong
