Write a letter to your friend, who is visiting a city that you are familiar with.
In your letter, you should:
• describe to him the place worth visiting
• tell eating options
• suggest transport options.
Dear Priya,
Hope you are doing fine. Firstly, let me apologies for not keeping in touch. In my last letter I had written that I was in middle of shifting apartments. Happy to share, that I finally have settled down in my new apartment.
I met Frank last week, and he happened to tell me that you are planning a vacation to London in July. I have visited London last year in June for leisure and had a wonderful time with my friends. Hence, I am certain that you will have a great time as well.
Since this is your 1st visit, I would like to share my experience i.e. famous places for sightseeing, restaurants where you can relish local food, shopping places and so on.For sightseeing, there are tour buses called as Red Bus which takes you on the city tour and halts at all the famous architecture places like London Bridge, Big Ben so on. To enjoy local food, please visit restaurants located at Hill street. There you can try plethora of local delicacies. Be careful, as food is a bit spicy and you don’t want fall sick on your trip. Last but not the least for shopping you should visit Palladium mall situated at Five Square street. In this mall, you will find all international and local brands outlet. However, I would suggest that you should shop from street fairs as shopping in mall will be quite expensive.
The transport facility in London is top notch. You can either travel in buses or trains. Please locate a nearest subway station and buy a full day travel ticket. This ticket will cost you 20 pounds and you can use it for both train and bus travel. Additionally, please do not forget to pack an umbrella with you, as London’s weather is very unpredictable and you might encounter few rainy days.
Hope you have an amazing trip and do let me know if you need any more information.
Lots of love
Minal
