You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to this friend. In your letter
• Give details of your study plan
• Explain why you want to get a part-time job
• Suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear Sarah,
I hope you and your family are all well !
I am writing to inform you that my departure date to Canada is drawing near and I am busy with preparations. I have enrolled myself at "University of Ontario, Toronto" for 2 years master of business administration program, fulltime. This will be bit expensive but I am sure it will certainly foster my professional growth and hone my general management skills required in daily life.
To assist in covering the cost of my study I aim to find a part-time job. I know, not only the college fees are rather high but also the accommodation charges in capital city will not be cheap. So I would very much like to have some temporary arrangement before I arrive.
I was wondering if you could ask among your friends, colleagues or relatives to see if anyone needs a gardener, cleaner or baby-sitter for their children. I know you have wide social network in Ontario, which you could canvas for me if you would not mind. I would really appreciate your help.
I look forward to meet you soon !
Love,
Amandeep Singh
