You are studying a short course in another country. Your accommodation was arranged by the course provider. There is a major problem with the accommodation. Write a letter to the course provider. In your letter,
• say what the problem is
• describe the accommodation you thought you were getting
• ask the provider to solve the problem
Dear Mr. Johnson,
My name is Jack Smith, the new student of the entry of the winter of 2021, and I am writing in regard to the room that I have been provided with. Unfortunately, there exists a huge problem with it that makes it difficult to stay.
Before that, I really appreciate all of your considerations for my admission process. However, there is a conundrum about my room that is concerned with my roommate. Firstly, he is extremely loud in his room. He has been constantly listening to some rock music, he is into this genre apparently, in the evening when I am supposed to do my assignment. To make the matter worse, some of his friends come over on a regular basis, and in turn, I find it so irritating and cannot rest properly.
Truth to be told, When we were having a discussion on Skype over the type of accommodation which I was going to have, I was promised a bedsit with no roommate, since it is impossible for me to concentrate on my studies when someone else is in the place. And, this is not what we had agreed on.
Therefore, I sincerely ask you to resolve this situation by whether finding me a private studio or, at least, changing my current roommate with someone more like-minded who only wants to study.
Thank you in advance, and I kindly await your response.
Yours sincerely,
Jack Smith
