You have lost your student identification card. This has created some problems for you.

Write a letter to the director of student services. In your letter

• advise them of your situation

• explain how this is affecting you

• request a new card

Dear Mr. Shah,

I’m writing this letter in connection with my college identification card. Unfortunately, I misplaced it due to which I’m unable to get access to some of the college facilities.

I’m a student from the department of Fine Arts and my Student I.D. number is 4551. Just 3 days ago, I was travelling from home to the university and noticed that my I.D. card was not in my bag, where it usually is. I looked for it at all the places that I might have left it at home as well as on campus but to no avail. Due to this, I am unable to visit the library and the computer lab. I have an assignment due in three days and won’t be able to complete it unless I get access to both.

Additionally, I like to keep myself fit by playing Basketball every morning, which I am unable to do now since I can’t even visit the sports centre. I’m much inconvenienced due to all of this and would appreciate your help.

For this reason, I request you to issue a new card at the earliest. Thanking you in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Aditi Thakker
