You have recently moved to a different house/apartment. Write a letter to an English speaking friend. In your letter:
– Explain why you have moved
– Describe the new house/apartment
– Invite him/her to pay you a visit.
Dear John
Hope this letter finds you and your family well. I am writing this letter to let you know about my new apartment where I have just moved.
As you know very well that I was living near an industrial area on 92 Ave that caused a number of problems for me. Firstly, the voice of machines is very loud at night time that distracts me to take a deep sound sleep, and prohibit me to concentrate on my work the next day. Also, the pollution from chimneys makes it difficult to take breathe the fresh air. Therefore, I decided to not stay there anymore.
Now, I moved to a one-bedroom apartment that is away from the city center but in a convenient location from where I can take the sky train to go anywhere within few minutes. One interesting thing about the apartment is that it is completely furnished, I didn't need to get nay thing for myself. The lake view outside the window is quite amazing. Furthermore, there is a swimming pool at the back of the apartment in a park where I can go for morning and evening walks
Surprisingly, I got promotion from the position of supervisor to the manager at Macdonald's restaurant and hence I am arranging a party at my new apartment on Saturday 20th in which our common friend Julie is also coming. It would be a great time for us to meet on the same day. I invite you to come to my house one day prior if possible so that I can show you each and everything about my location.
I can't wait to see you.
With regards
Preeti
