Essay topics:

You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to study/work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter:

describe the situation
explain your problems and why it is difficult to study/work
say what kind of accommodation you would prefer

Dear Sir,
I am a resident of room number 151, Hostel number 6, North Campus. I have been staying in allotted room since beginning of semester. I share my room with Rohit Sharma, a mechanical student. He is very joyful and fun loving person. We have nice time together during the semester. But, he has never been quite much fond of studying. He likes to play laud music inside the room, which has always been a distraction factor for my studies.
However, I never raised a flag during the semester, but, considering upcoming exam in next two weeks, such behavior hampers much academic performance. Firstly, I tried to have a discussion with him around the table following by extending helping hand to him in his studies. Since, my efforts could not materialize, I opted to switch the room to have amicable and respectful separation.
Considering, my pre-dominate requirement is a place, wherein, I can concentrate on my studies, I request you to shift to another room with someone from the similar trade course. Another room from this same hostel will be highly preferable for the sake of convenient in commutation to classroom.
I shall look forward to hear from your positively.
Yours’ sincerely
Gurmeet Singh
