You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You live in a room in college which you share with another student.
However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it
very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,
• describe the situation
• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to talk about some problems with my roommate and request new arrangement on next month. Lisa - my roommate - she always come room lately while I was trying to sleep early. Sometimes she plays music so loud that I could not focus on my work. It is difficult for me to concentrate on my study when she make noisy. I know we have a share room but it is impolite when she borrows my things without asking me. Lisa and I have different habits so I am afraid that we could not live together.
So I would be grateful if I have a new roommate on next month because I am going to taking important exams and I need quite space for study. It is more convenient if we have in common with interest. If not, I hope you can arrange an another room for me. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
May
