You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job. Write a letter to the shop or the company which supplied the equipment. In your letter
Describe the problem with the equipment
Explain how this problem is affecting your work
Say what you want the shop or company to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
The reason I am writing to you is the poor quality of a computer monitor, which I bought in your store two weeks ago. After only using it for a week, problems started to appear.
The issue with the monitor is that the stand is very loose and with minor touch, it has a risk of falling. The second and major issue is that the color panel is blurred and I can’t see part of the screen because of this. I was very surprised to discover that many problems in a quite expensive model.
This is badly affecting my work as I am not able to use the monitor anymore. I have to use my laptop the entire time and because of the smaller and single screen of the laptop, I end up with pain in my eyes every evening. Additionally, I have to constantly toggle between my working tabs which is slowing down my speed.
As a solution, I want to get this monitor to be replaced by a new one. I would like to have someone pick it up from my home as my work schedule is quite busy. If you don’t have the same model available, I would request a refund in the full amount I paid as this is available in other stores.
I hope to hear soon from you.
Yours faithfully,
ABC
