You work for an international company. You have seen an advertisement for a training course which will be useful for your job.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter
• Describe a training course you want to do
• Explain what the company could do to help you
• Say how the course will be useful for your job
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inform you that I have come across with an advertisement for various training courses and these courses are being arranged by an institute which is quite famous for imparting such skills at a competitive rate.
The training course for which I am particularly interested is "Excel Dashboard Training Course". This is 7-days rigorous course aimed for advanced users of Excel, who are entrusted with 'Management Reporting' responsibilities. I believe that this course will enhance my professional skills.
Let me explain that how the company can support in this regard. I understand and abide policy for 4-days paid leave for such training but if you can approve 7-days leave with pay, I will be able to better concentrate and complete the training.
This course could benefit me in presenting different scenarios interactively and aid us in better decision making. I can train my subordinate staff after completion of this course so that they can improve their efficiency. Furthermore, this will enable us to screen out projects which do not meet KPIs established by the Board.
Thank you for your kind consideration
Yours faithfully,
