Your colleague loaned you a book to use in a presentation at work. Write to your friend to say:
What the presentation was about
Why it was important
How the book helped you
Dear Mike,
I am writing to express my gratitude for lending the book “Remote sensing and the environment” written by J. Johnson. As you remember, I was giving a presentation at the office concerning the latest technologies and usage of remote sensing data in oil spill assessment.
This presentation was significantly important for me because I was giving a speech not only in front of the manager staff but also in front of one of our major clients, Chevron oil company. In fact, the signing of a contract was at stake.
Thus, the book was a great help in the preparation of my presentation by providing a detailed description of the procedure of a site assessment following an oil spill event. That is why I was able to describe all the crucial moments of it to our customer.
Once again, thank you for your well-timed help.
Best regards,
Maria
