Dear Mr James,
I am writing to apologize for the complaint I received yesterday from you. I feel terrible knowing that due to the house renovation, you are disturbed.
My ceiling was about to be renovated, and before I could get an appointment, it cracked down into pieces two days ago. So, I had to immediately work on this as this downpour could make it all watery. I had to construct and repair the ceiling anyhow as soon as I could.
By knowing that you had a hard night, I felt awful. I am sorry, I should have informed you beforehand. But, this work will be finished by tomorrow I assure you. Till then just bear with me. Besides, I have already told the mason to work only in the morning time and will request him again.
I hope you can understand my situation. I look forward to hearing back from you. Sorry once again.
