It is now possible for scientists and tourists to travel to remote area environment, such as South Pole. do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
thanks to technological advances, modern people, including scientists and travelers, have been able to set foot on isolated areas like South Pole. there are both benefits and drawbacks that accompany this development, but I believe it to be an overall positive trend.
admittedly, travelling to far-flung places is troublesome or even dangerous to some extent. firstly, researchers and tourists alike are often exposed to harsh and unfavorable weather, which can adversely affect their health. for example, it is freezing cold in South Pole and visitors can easily encounter health problems if they are not sufficiently prepared. secondly, this form of travelling is rather costly as a great deal of investment is required for researching activities to ensure the safety of travelers. thus, only a limited number of scientists and affluent people can afford this luxury. in other words, this development seems to be beneficial only for a small group of people.
while the above disadvantages are reasonable, I believe that they pale in comparison with the accompanied benefits. for travelers, especially global trotters, having a chance to go to exotic and mysterious places like South Pole is a newer and understandably more exciting form of travelling. although it may expose them to dangers, those risks can be mitigated with careful preparation and simulation. also, despite its prohibitive cost, such a trip may leave tourists with exhilarating memories that can last for a lifetime. for scientists, they can take advantage of this chance to gain a deeper understanding of the flora and fauna at those remote places and in turn can implement better preservation plans to protect the wildlife there. this is indeed extremely necessary given the fact that global warming has become a serious issue worldwide and its negative impacts of those habitats are visible.
in conclusion, i reaffirm that travelling to remotely located natural areas provides scientists and tourists with more advantages than disadvantages.
