A glance at the provided maps reveals some changes in Stokeford during the period of 80 years.
It is evidence that there were more and more accommodations were constructed in 2010 compared with 80 years ago while the number of farmland was dramatically decreased.
In 1930, there were a few houses in both two sides of the road which almost located on the centre of the village. By 2010, only remaining the post office and two shops were removes for the extension of the road. The village was divided into separately areas and covered by a lot of houses surrounding the main road. Together with the growing of houses was the falling in the number of farmland, it did not have any farmland in 2010 i the village.
At the same period, the primary school was enlarged with two additional blocks. The extension of the road in the middle of the village lead to the disappearance of the garden. In addition, the large house in the garden areas was replaced by the retirement home.
