There are many different types of music in the world today. why do we need music? Is the traditional music of a country more important than the international music that is heard everywhere nowadays ?
it is generally acknowledged, that, different countries and people have their various brand of music which they relate to and enjoy. In as much as, we observe varying duties, songs form an integral fabric of our everyday life. In my essay, I will be reflecting on the benefits of musical works and compare the folk tunes of other lands and the universally accepted sounds.
To start with, music, is part of the identity of any group of persons; be it a nation, tribe or gang, it speaks to their orientation, history, culture and traditions. In addition, it is also a tool of information dissemination and a useful companion at odd moments. it was used and being used as treatment modalities for a diverse range of psychological illness. Again, in the Bible, this was the medium used to calm the frayed nerves of King Saul by David, when his bout of 'madness' descends.
Secondly, the local notes of any community cannot be said is superior to the widely acclaimed beats that seem in vogue today because, each is known to serve its own unique and specific purpose. However, no civilization is superior to another, in fact, every development is connected one to the other. Most of the recent genres, when looked at critically, is an offshoot of these so-called ancient ensemble. for instance, rap is a blend of spoken word and afrobeat, while pop from funk. One can make bold to say that the popular arrangements of today are either direct adaptations of the pre-existing sounds peculiar to a race or a pure change.
To close, music is a necessity that the society thrives upon - music is food for the soul, they say and no type or technique of music is more beneficial than another, as each is for its audience and the basically serve the same functions, that is, entertain, educate and pass messages.
