Some people like to record their life by sharing pictures and other information on social-networking sites. Others keep this information to themselves and never share it online. Which do you prefer？
Recording life is a basic part of our daily life. In order to grasp some important and valuable moment of our life, we take pictures and videos and keep diary. Some people tend to keep this kind of information a secret while other tends to share it online. As far as I am concerned, I prefer the latter way. Here are my reasons.
Firstly, sharing makes the experience more funny and enjoyable. Studies show that people smile more when they have company, which indicates that being in a group can add up the sense of happiness. This is the same applies to the sharing information. By sharing, you actually put yourselves in a group, and everything you post online can get some feedback from your friends. For instance, when you post a picture of a delicate snacks you made, your friends would praise you for your cooking skills, which gives you a sense of achievement.
Besides,people can get to know each other better and expand their social relationship by sharing their life experience online. Funny experience contributes to increase your personal charm so that you can attract more people to make friends with you. Take my sister for an example. She is fond of traveling and wherever she travels she takes pictures of the beautiful scenes and landscapes and shares it on Facebook. This enable peers with the same hobbies to learn about her and try to contact with her. She makes a good many new friends in this way.
Indeed, posting everything online might lead to the leak of personal information and therefore bring risks to my safety. Those who choose to keep their information on their own might want to protect themselves in this way. However, the risk can be reduced if we carefully select the kinds of information we want to post online. For instance, you can still post a picture about your fancy new car, but remember to hide the car number. Then you can still enjoy the benefits of sharing while keeping yourselves in a relative safe position at the same time.
In conclusion, I prefer to share my information online instead of keeping them to my own because it not only bring more fun but also offer my opportunity to acquaint with more friends.
