The reading passage and the lecture both discuss a policy, merits and demerits of the policy that it was 'let in burn'. In the reading part the author mentiones that there was a policy that made a huge and extensive caouse in the forest in US in 1988, which in fire destroyed everything, three main damages are illustarted in this part. In the listening part, however, the proffesor challenges what the author states and rebutes the reasons by indicate that not only is fire natural, but also it would create variety of features, therefore it would be ok and good.
To begin with, as mentioned in the article, the writer sets forth that it ruined many various trees and vegetable an that aria; nevertheless, the speaker rebutes the reaons asserting that vegatatons actually became various on that time, making aportunity to grow different specious. For example, it makes best chance for smaller plants to grow and take solar energies, whenever there is no tall trees to take it complitlty. Indeed, the seed of plant would be taken enough heat to raise and nurture bether.
Secondly, the author poins out that samaller species of animals will not scape in this situation or will died, hence massive extinction. Nonetheless, the author flately contradicts the idea and contends that as same as plants, animals can live aftre the fire on the forst and it could create new aportunity for smaller specious such as rabbits to make new habitate and also it changes chain foods to posetive altering. it means that smaller animals would not be hunted storngly.
Finally, the author claims that tourist attraction for this natural park reduced and local economic had alterd dramaticly. In contrast, the professor is off the opinion that renging from fire to low rain fall and heat weands made the weather disaster. Although the weather after the fire was not good, the visitors came back next year and it would not a serious problem for local residens.
