The lecture and the passage discuss about dinosaurs which can be define or not in the endotherm’s animal group that manage their body temperature without environmental effects like mammal and human. The passage believes that dinosaurs take place in the endotherm’ group. Whereas, the professor in the lecture declares that base on some evidence this animal should be in the reptiles group instead of endothermy.

First, the reading passage mentions that fossils which detected on the polar location prove that dinosaurs can be endotherm due to bear the cold weather. However, the professor argues against that by saying that weather condition was different than now and it was warmer. She states that while dinosaurs live on the warm season there, at the cold seasons migrated to warmer places due to lack of potential to control their body temperature ability. Therefore, polar fossils are not powerful enough to confirm the idea.

Second, the reading says that physical features of the endothermy make possible some activity like running due to their leg state. In other words, the leg should be state underneath doing some activities while, the reptiles like crocodile leg place don’t let them to running due to legs’ position on the side of the body. While, the lecturer explains that this body structure supports more weight and allow them to grow in an immense dimension. Consequently, leg position don’t advocate them being endotherm.

Third, the passage discusses about Haversian canals that appears on the endotherms’ structure which make possible swift growth and dinosaurs’ fossil have this bone. In contrast, the lecture mentions that other evidence like growth ring proves the opposite idea. She mentions that growth ring shows that this animal experienced low rate of growth in the cold weather unlike endotherm which even in the cold weather growth rapidly.
