In the lecture, the professor points out to the new research that showed all the arguments presented in the reading passage against the powered flight of pterosaurs is wrong and they may be capable of powered flight.
First of all, the professor states due to the hair and fir in their body they can be warm in the cold area and the idea of the author about their cold blooded metabolism could be wrong. So based of the professor, they could keep themselves warm and faster if they would have to.
Secondly, the professor says in contrast to the reading these animals were not heavy. In fact, their hollow bone helped them to be light for their body and keep them airborne by flying.
Lastly, the speaker challenges the idea of having big hind leg for ptersaurs to take off like other birds. She states birds have powerful hind limbs due to their way of walking on the ground by using two limbs to push off but the ptersaurs walked on the ground on their four limbs. So they could push off the ground by their four limbs and fast enough to do take off or jump.
