The author concentrates on several theories about the origin of the Voynich manuscript. However, the lecturer casts doubt on these theories and respectively points out the problem in all his assertion.
Firstly, the author argues that the manuscript has some scientifically or magical content which was written by Anthony Ascham due to some plant illustration similarities between this manuscript and his published book. Conversely, the lecturer challenges this theory and states that he was an ordinary scientist whose book's content was based on other famous sources. Therefore, due to the complexity of the manuscript, it is impossible for Anthony to write such an ingenious book.
Secondly, the author explains that the manuscript is possibly a fake book which was written by Edward Kelly to sell it to a noble. On the contrary, the lecturer brings the fact that people in sixteen's century were not so intelligent to make Edward put so much effort in writing this book and a less elaborated book was enough to deceive them.
Lastly, the author asserts that the manuscript is a fake and Voynich has created it himself to sell it. In contrast, the lecturer refutes this claim and clarifies that the ink and pages have been used in this book belong to approximately four hundred years ago and even if Voynich provided the pages from another old book, there was no way he could find four hundred years old ink.
