First, the reading claims that Chaco structure were purely residential. The professor opposes this point by stating that it is true the structure from outside look like there are many stairs as we have today in apartment complex, but the inside structure cast doubt on being a residential place. Third, the reading posits that these houses used as ceremonial centers. The professor refutes this point by saying that there are no supported evidence support the theory of that the Chaco buildings were a ceremonial place. According to the professor, the materials found in the nearby place contain other stuff the Author didn’t mention in his article, like, sand, stones, and construction tools. He adds that these stuffs prove that the other place was a trash place contains many things left over from the main building.
