The pie charts compare the percentage of carbohydrates, protein and fat with three different diet programs.
The pie charts elucidate the proportion of carbohydrates, protein and fat in three different diets, namely; an average diet, a healthy diet and a healthy diet for sport.
It is noticeable that sportsmen require to take a diet which constitutes a huge amount of carbohydrates than other types of diet. People with an average diet would consume the lowest percentage of carbohydrates but the highest proportion of protein.
People who are very active or doing heavy sports would be suitable to take a heavy diet for sport program. Carbohydrates are taken up 60% from the healthy diet for sport. This is 10% higher than the proportion of carbohydrates in a healthy diet, and 20% more than the proportion of carbohydrates in an average diet. In contrast, people who eat an average diet consume a greatest amount of protein (40%) than those who eat a healthy diet (30%) and sports people (30%).
The third compound shown in the chart is fat. Fat portion in an average diet and a healthy diet are higher by 5% than those in sportsmen’s diet program of 20% each.
