The line chart compares the figure for three kinds of fast foods eaten in England from 1970 to 1990.
Overall, the figures for F&C and P increased whereas H consumption saw a slight reduction during the period shown.
In 1970, the number of grams of H was highest, at approximately 300 grams, while these numbers of F&C and P were lower, at around 100 grams and 20 grams respectively. There was gradual rise in the consumption of P from around 20 grams to about 180 grams between 1970 and in 1990, an increase of approximately 160 grams in 20 years.
In 1978, the consumption of H experienced a slight decline to about 250 grams whereas a gradual rise can be seen in the figure for F&C to around 140 grams. The year 1981 marks a point at which the figures for H and F&C were equal, at about 200 grams. In the following 9 years, the former rose steadily to about 220 grams while the latter saw a dramatic increase to approximately 530 grams.
