The graph shows estimated oil production capacity for several Gulf countries between 1990 and 2010
The bar chart compares the amount of oil produced by several Gulf countries on a daily basis from 1990 to 2010.
It is clear that while Saudi Arabia produced the highest amount of oil over 2 decades, Qatar’s oil capacity was the lowest.
In 1990, over 8 million of oil barrels were produced in Saudi Arabia as opposed to nearly 1 million of Qatar. In the following decades, Although oil production in Saudi Arabia saw a massive increase by about 6 million of barrels, that of Qatar remained constant at around 1 million.
The other four countries were all similar in terms of an upward trend. The production of oil in Iraq and Kuwait both stood at around 2 million of barrels in 1990 and doubled in 2010. The same goes for Iran and UAE which both peaked at approximately 4 million of barrels despite the stability in UAE’s oil capacity in 1990 and 2000.
