The pie chart desmonstrates the crucial points why land become degrated on around the world and the table indicates these above reasons have mentioned that effected on countries in 3 regions including North America, Europe and Oceania during the period 90s.
Overall, the main reasons impacted on less productive of the agricultural land is that over-grazing, over-cultivation deforestation and others. The highest percentage of land degrated in European countries.
It can be seen from the first chart that the percentage of over grazing was the highest in all of the reasons, reached at 35 percent. The next point caused land degradation is that cutting off trees, ruined forrest and wild life. That cause had the percentage about a third. Approximately 28 percent, this number of over-cultivation, and other causes were at 7 percent.
Glancing at the second chart, these above causes affected 3 regions of world. Countries in Europe were affected much more than the rest regions About a quarter in total land degraded by 9.8% of deforestation, 7.7% over-cultivation and 5.5% grazing. Comparing to 2 regions, cutting tree had the highest number . The next region was Oceania, around 13% land degrated by cutting tree and grazing and at 1.7 and 11.3 respectively. It is obvious to see that the greatest percentage was over-grazing in all. North America was affected at 5% in total land degraded.
