the graph below shows average carbon dioxide emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.
Given is a graph illustrates how much CO2 emission in metric tonnes is used by each individual between 1967 and 2007 in Sweden, Britain, Italy and Portugal. It is clear from the graph that in the United Kingdom produced more CO2 than other countries.
As it can be observed at the first glance that although overall trend in the Uk’s CO2 emission was consistently downward, it had the most CO2 production in 1967 almost 11 metric tonnes in comparison with Sweden with little less than 9 MT, Italy a bit higher than 4 and Portugal almost 1 MT. It is obviously clear that Sweden saw a dramatic rise in 1977 to a high of 10.5 MT, but it plummeted to almost 7 Mt 1987 and it had steady decrease to a low of 505 MT in 2007. It is evident that Both Portugal and Italy had an upward trend finished in 2007 respectively 5 and almost 8. In addition, Sweden and Portugal had the same CO2 emission in 2007 of nearly 7.
It can be conclude that the UK had a downward trend during this period, also, in Sweden from1977 to the end. However, there was a spectacular increase in Portugal and Italy between 1967 and 2007.
