The diagrams show a structure that is used to generate electricity from wave power.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given diagrams illustrate the way the wave power is converted into electricity by a specialized structure. Overall, it can be seen that the movements of the waves are the main drive of producing electricity. Moreover, the apparatus which needs to be built on the sea wall has three main components and all of them have a crucial contribution to the given process.
Looking at the details, in the first pictorial, the air inside the chamber which is situated on the shore is pushed up by the wave's motion during the tide, towards a narrow column that is constructed exactly on the cliff. The air' movement inside the column applies a force on the inner turbine, leading to its unidirectional rotation. Following this, when the wave moves away from the shore while the ebb takes place, the process is reversed with the air flowing in the opposite direction, but imprinting on the turbine a rotation in the same direction.
Finally, the turbine's spinning generates energy and this is used for household practices.
