The chart shows British Emigration to selected destinations between 2004 and 2007
The bar chart illustrates the number of people in Britain emigrated to five different countries from 2004 to 2007. Overall, it is clear that the most popular place moved was Australia.
It can be seen from the chart that the number of people who moved to Australia was the highest over a period of 4 years, reaching a peak at just over 50,000 people in 2006. The second most popular place, in Spain, was lower than in Australia. There was a slight decrease in the amount of the British moving to Spain between 2004 and 2007.
On the other hand, just over 20,000 people emigrating to New Zealand each year, while the USA fluctuated between 20-25,000 people over the period. Although the amount of the British in France was approximately 35,000 people in 2005, it was the least popular country, at just under 20,000 people 2007.
