You went to the local hospital’s Emergency Department with your young child who had severe stomach pains. You had to wait for almost four hours before your daughter was treated by a doctor and, while you were waiting, you were constantly ignored by the other staff.
Write a letter to the Registrar, complaining about the service you received.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to complain about the deficiencies in services at local hospital emergency ward.
On last Friday i.e. 18th April 2018 around noon, my daughter informed to me about the severe stomach ache and immediately I contacted to nearby Sherwood rise medical center. Unfortunately, medical practitioner was on leave and support staff asked me to go to city local hospital for emergency services.
Since pain was getting worst by passing hours so I took my daughter to local hospital with my insurance paper. I contacted to receptionist for getting appointment in emergency ward but I was informed that emergency ward is full of patients and there is not enough staff. Moreover, I was advised to wait for some time until doctor arrives.
I waited patiently for an hour and my daughter was suffering from pain so again I contacted to receptionist. I must bring into your notice that her behavior was inappropriate and she replied very rudely that if I can’t wait then I should visit other hospital. After four hours of waiting, doctor arrived and checked my daughter in emergency ward.
Though my daughter was given right treatment and she is fine now, whole incident was remorseful. Hospital staff must have some sympathy with the patients and attendants. I believe that quality of services can be improved at city hospital so that nobody goes through the ordeal.
I may be contacted at 876543 for more information. I am looking forward to hear from you.
Yours sincerely
Tom
