The line graph below shows changes in the amount and type of fast food consumed by Australian teenagers from 1975 to 2000.
The line graph indicates how many times a year were some junk foods (namely pizza, hamburger, fish and chip) consumed by young adults in Australia from 1975 to 2000.
Overall, the times that teenager ate pizza and hamburgers increased dramatically and, to be particular, hamburgers underwent the fastest growth in numbers. Following the reverse pattern, there’s a drastic fall in the statistics of fish and chips.
In 1975, young teenagers just consumed pizza and hamburgers about 7 times a year. That figure was far lower than fish and chip, which were eaten 100 times. However, since then, the numbers of fish and chips plunged to less than 40 times, apart from a marginal rise again in 1985.
In sharp contrast to this, the eating times of pizza and hamburger rocketed to over 80 and 100 times respectively in the final year.
