The above chart depicts the percentage of water usage for different purposes in six different parts of the world.
It can be seen from the above figures that of all the six regions that Europe has the maximum percentage usage of water for industrial purposes with more than 50% of water utilisation in that area, following which with a similar distribution is North America at 48%. For the rest of the countries this percentage is close to or less than even 10%. Central Asia uses most of its percentage of water i.e. around 84% for agricultural activities whereas Europe contributes only 32% for such activities being the lowest among all. All the countries show the least consumption of water for domestic activities which is lowest for Central and South East Asia at 7% and the greatest for South America with 19%.
Seeing the trend it’s visible that more than half of the countries contribute maximum water resources for Agricultural activities except for North America and Europe. However, such countries show very little use of water for industrial.
