The bar graph illustrates some causes of travelling and the pie chart describes major problems for the travelling public in the USA in 2009.
Overall, it is immediately clear that the majority of Americans travelled for work while price of travel concerned them the most in 2009.
Looking at the bar chart in detail, to and from work was the most significant reason why Americans travelled in 2009, at around a half, which was followed by personal reasons and shopping, at 19% and 16%, respectively. The percentage of social activities or recreation accounted for a tenth, which was 4% higher than the least considerable cause, namely visiting friends and relatives.
Regarding the pie chart, Americans cared about price of travel the most, at around a third. Two following matters including safety concerns and aggressive ranged from 17% and 19%, which witnessed a difference of 2%. Out of the remaining problems, the proportion of highway congestion was as high as the total of two other issues.
