People believe that they should be able to keep all the money they earn and should not pay tax to the state. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is true that people should save their salary for better use but paying tax. Nevertheless, the tax is needed to develop the country. I personally disable to say either agree or disagree, because both of them have flaw on it.

The common reason why people should not pay tax and save their salary is because citizens do not believe in government’s performance. Nowadays, people think that government is useless and cannot do its duties well. A bunch of newspaper tells about how rotten the government is, such most of corruption, nepotism, collusion, bribery, and fraud are done by government. Because of these reasons, people think it is terrible idea if citizen should pay for someone who has inappropriate manner. Otherwise, most of people think it is better to keep their money for saving. They can use it for children’s education, life insurance, and business investment which have direct benefits for their future life.

In contrast, the reason why people should pay tax is in order to proof they are good citizens and have humanity in heart. More than half nation-budget is funded by tax. Without it, government cannot provide the good facilities to the public, such as public transportation, hospital, school, power station, avenue and so on. Besides, most of people work as civil servant and if the government disables to pay their salaries, some people will lose their jobs and there must be a chaos in the state, for instance, homeless people will be increased.

To sum up, people acquiesce in paying tax if government uses it in appropriate purpose, but if it does not, people think it is better to save their money for their future.
