The charts below show the result of a long-term survey carried out by an environmental group into local wildlife population figures.
The main reasons of why the population changes from 2000 to current is presented in the pie chart while the bar graph shows the proportion change in wildlife’s population.
The population of insects have increased just under 40%, and this is caused by the habitat destruction (43%). Pollution is another significant reason of the changing of wildlife population (21%) while the other figures experience less than a fifth as to influence such population changing. These factors can cause the population of freshwater fish, birds, and reptiles have decreased.
A more details look at the charts, show that a decrease of more 26% fish population has lived in freshwater is caused by the overexploitation, and this also decrease the rate of birds at under one in ten per cent. Surprisingly, the population of either mammals or aquatic mammals have increased while the other figures have declined.
Overall, the significant reason of why wildlife population changes is the habitat destruction. This has caused the number of freshwater fish and insects population witness a marked fall.
