Overall, people around the world spent the largest money on products of Samsung and Nokia over the period. Besides, there was an increasing trend for the sales of Samsung, Apple and ZTE compared to the decreasing trend for the others in the 4-year timescale.
In 2009, Samsung and Apple accounted for 240 million items and 20 million items, respectively. The quantity of products sold of the two firms then witnessed substantial improvements by 200 million items and 130 million items, respectively, sold in the next 4 years. However, the figure for ZTE remained steady around 50 million unites from 2009 to 2013.
Commencing at approximately 440 million products sold as the largest global sales in 2009, Nokia’s sales then moderately declined by 20 million items in 2011 before dropping considerably to its bottom of 250 million items in the end of the period, being overtaken by Samsung’s sales in 2013. Whereas, there was a gradual fall of the figure for LG between 2009 and 2013.
