The chart illustrates the amount of energy consumed in percentage and the greenhouse gas emission produced due to its usage by an average Australian household.
Overall, it is clear from the chart that maximum energy is consumed by heating processes and minimum used by cooling system. Additionally, the water heating system and some other appliances produced most greenhouse gas as compared to the cooling system of Australian household.
On the one hand, as observed in the first pie chart large percentage of energy (42%) was consumed by heating, followed by the water heater (30%). Furthermore, 15% and 7% energy was taken by other appliances and refrigeration respectively. However, minimum percentage of energy was utilized by the cooling system (2%) and lighting (4%) in average household.
On the other hand, as noted in the second pie chart the maximum toxic gas effect was emitted by the water heating system (32%). Focusing on other appliances, harmful gas was produced by 28% of it. Furthermore, 14% emission was produced by refrigeration. In contrast, 8% and 3% of toxic greenhouse gas was emitted by lighting and cooling system respectively.
