You have just received a credit card statement from your bank. The statement lists a number of expensive purchases that you are sure you did not make. Write a letter to the bank manager. In the letter:
• Introduce yourself.
• Explain that you did not buy the items listed.
• Say what you would like the bank to do to fix the problem.
Dear Sir,
I am a decorous account holder of your bank- HDFC and the details are: Account Number- ABCD) Branch Name: Huda City Center, Gurgaon. I am writing this letter to inform you about some fishy transactions done through my account.
To elucidate, I have recently got my credit card bill summary for this month and I am sure that neither my wife nor me has done these transactions. All the items like jewellery worth Rs 200,000, designer clothes and other knick – knacks listed in the summary that I have not bought. Additionally, whenever I made any transaction, I do get a call from the bank whether this transaction should be allowed or not. However, this time I have not received any calls.
I would request the bank to look after into this matter as I am a salaried class person and cannot afford such a high-end shopping that too all in a single go. Also, please reverse all the transactions and in the mean time, I will file a complaint against the matter so that the culprit can be put behind bars.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Ben
