The bar chart depicts that the data related to ubiquitous sport that played by people of New Zealand in 2002.
It is clear that, Netball was most popular among women while cricket had the lowest interest for same gender but the trend for girls, fluctuated for different sports.
As the graph shows, almost 6 sports categories have the highest figure for boys than girls namely cricket, martial arts, basketball, tennis, soccer and other. Firstly we can see the huge difference between both gender in cricket and soccer in which the figure for 2% for girls in cricket compared with 5% girls have interest in soccer while the figure for above categories higher for men at 10% in cricket and 22% in soccer. But the trend for netball was reverse by compare with cricket and soccer. According to netball 25% girls played this game that was the highest figure for both gender. While only 2% went for male people.
Regarding to swimming and athletics. The proportion for girls who played metioned games at 22% and 4% respectively which was slight higher the men, at 21% and 31% respectively. Apart from that, people played the basketball and tennis with the similar difference for both game for both kind of people for basketball male player and female accounted for about at 7% and 2% respectively compared to 10% for girls and 18% for boys stood for other sports activities in 2010.
