Professor appearances on television.

Essay topics:

Professor appearances on television.

The lecturer clearly contends on the statement saying about whether or not the anyone benefits by Professors appearing on television or not. Also lecturer puts up the question that whether professor appearing on televisions is beneficial or not ? And placing a question that if they are appeared in the television then who all are affected by his/her appearance.

Firstly the lecturer states that professor by themselves are not benefitted from appearing in televisions. As television is less a source of knowledge and more a source of entertainment. Appearing on television might degrade professor being as a scholar and being more academic and might get a tagline of an entertainer. Also his/her reputations might be among their fellow professor. There can be a example where professor is attending an television session and might get ended up getting a tagline of monetary purposed professor. After his/her more appearances on televisions professor might end up attending less number of conferences, important meeting, less research work are some of the consequences.

Secondly, the lecturer contends that not only time attending the televisions is wasted, a lot of extra time such as getting ready for the shoot, takes of the camera more than one time and another lot of time is wasted attending an television meetings. Professor can be able to divert this amount of time to get involved in more number of research, to students who have doubts regarding his/her subject, and might be able to address issues regarding their own universities.

On the third note lecturer contends that public might also get benefitted whenever a professor takes sessions on television, as more and more number of things are scripted in today’s world. As televisions try to make people entertain not to give more knowledge and information to the people. As more number of topics in television are related to current topics, material background, and more in the historical backgrounds public might also get no benefits by profession appearances on the television.
